About the Jennings County Amateur Radio Association Inc.
The Jennings County Amateur Radio Club was started by amateur radio operators in Jennings County, Indiana, in April 2010. It was originally organized by Brian Smith and Brian Zust of the South Central Indiana Communications Support Group, Inc. (SCICSG) after they had identified Jennings County as one of the lowest per-capita concentration of amateur radio operators in Indiana. They had also identified that the county had no amateur radio repeater.
JCARC formed as a club in August 2010 with Dwight Spaulding N9PGB as President and Gene Dolgner KC9RLC as Vice President.
On February 02 2016 The Club was Incorporated with The State of Indiana as The Jennings County Amateur Radio Association Inc.
On March 08 2016 The JCARA was recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501c3 Charitable Organization allowing tax deductible contributions to JCARA.
